First Day Hike- Cedar Hill State Park

- 8-9 am - Join us on this ranger-led stroll through our 0.7-mile Duck Pond Trial as we explore a Post Oak Savannah ecosystem tucked under the vast prairies of North Texas.
- 1-2:30 pm - During this ranger-led hike, we will walk through a Blackland prairie restoration project on our 2.5-mile Talala Trail.
- 6-8 pm - Our 3-mile DORBA trail offers a walk through a variety of ecosystems from pocket prairies to shoreline trials.
Registration is required: Go online to Reserve America to make your reservation for this program.
When: Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023
- 8 am Duck Pond Trail
- 1 pm Talala Trail
- 6 pm DORBA 3-Mile Trail
Where: Duck Pond Trail, Talala Trail, DORBA 3-Mile Trail
Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.
Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!
Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a TPWD Annual Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
